A sink-hole opened up on our school grounds during this topic.  We couldn't believe it!  However, we were then even more shocked to discover that the surveyors, inspecting the hole, had discovered an egg within the tunnels and den (created by foxes).  It had to be kept locked away in the school safe.

One day, we were able to get it out to have a look!  From this, pupils created their own creature and a wonderous underground world which they wrote narratives about.
